Imaginosity
2018 - 2025 and still going!
Imaginosity has been happening at our school since 2018.
It’s all about imagination and curiosity – the things that give the curriculum its point and make it come alive.
Our children are at the centre of Imaginosity, and it helps them think creatively, work together, find new ways of looking at things and try something out that they have never done before. Our pupils are stronger and more confident as a result.
We work with our lead artist, Simon, and with local local businesses and members of the community. We’ve put on big events for everyone to enjoy at the Town Hall and, previously, we’ve done smaller workshops for other people like care home residents and library users.
Imaginosity makes a huge difference at our school!
“I like all the creativity that you have to do when you’re making something.” ~Y6 pupil “It is fun and we get to do new things. Sometimes that feels scary and confusing because we don’t know what we were doing, but once we get the hang of it, it’s really exciting.” ~Y3 pupil “I like how you have to put your mind into it and really think, instead of just having it already done for you.” ~Y6 pupil
‘The school has developed an exciting ‘Imaginosity’ programme. When following the programme, pupils learn to develop their creativity through working with artists, local businesses and members of the community such as care home residents and the local youth centre.’ Ofsted report 2023
Imaginosity 2025
This year we wanted things to be a little different and have decided to focus on choice and skills development. All of our children have been given a ‘menu’ of choices and have been able to decide what they want to focus on for the next 10 weeks – we are really looking forward to seeing the results!!
