Our School Uniform
At Mill Hill Primary School, we are very proud of our school uniform, and we expect children to have high standards of personal appearance in and around school and during PE and sports lessons. We thank you for your support in complying with the uniform requirements and helping us to maintain our high pupil standards and value of respect.
All items of clothing should be clearly labelled with the pupil’s name.
School Uniform Rec - Y5
- Sensible flat black shoes (preferably not boots or trainers)
- Plain white school shirt to be tucked in at all times
- Navy blue sweatshirt (available from school)
- Grey/black school trousers, skirt or pinafore
- Black, grey or white socks or tights
- Grey School shorts
- Blue and white checked dress
Uniform for pupils in Year 6
- As above plus black sweatshirt (available from school)
Expectations of Presentation
- Hair styles must be sensible
- Hair at shoulder length must be tied back
- Shirts must be tucked in
- No jewellery other than a plain stud earring may be worn
- Nail varnish is not allowed to be worn in school
- Make up is not allowed to be worn in school
- Skirts and dresses must be knee length
Logoed school jumpers are available from the Office Staff at the Reception Desk or similar coloured generic jumpers are acceptable.
PE Kit
- Black or Blue plain shorts
- A coloured ‘house’ t-shirt (red, blue, green or yellow) will be provided by school
- Suitable trainers or plimsolls
- Plain black or blue long sleeved sweatshirt for winter
- Plain black or blue jogging bottoms for winter
- PE kit must be brought in and left in school on the first day and taken home for washing every half term. PE or activity lessons can take place any day at short notice and kits must be available.
